Though there is an inkling within her that questions the legitimacy of her grandfather’s tales, whether they held truth, and were buried in a misery that only surfaced when doused in ale, or if they were simply the ramblings of a sad old man whose list of accomplishments could be scribbled on a child’s palm. Regardless, whether it is fact or fiction, it is part of her, and is seen to legitimise her in the eyes of the Underkeepers.
